B-series electric furnace. Units do not produce any soot or smoke. May be installed in a basement, closet, crawl space or any unused area or alcove. Space saving design allows for zero clearance installation between the furnace and combustible surfaces. Installation only requires the connection of power to the unit and the connection of the thermostat wires. Quiet performance is assured through the special mounting and balancing of the blower wheel. Standard Broan components assure versatility and convenience. Thermal efficiency is assured through the use of nickel-chrome heaters which are oversized to ensure rapid heat transfer. Plug-in modules to ease servicing. Units require a disposable type filter. Filter installation and removal does not require the use of tools. Filter units are specifically designed to trap dust and lint. Connection components are equipped with high temperature limits, restricting the operation of the unit at high temperatures. Time delay sequencers are built into the units, this prevents power surges resulting in lights dimming or blown fuses. Fan relays control automatic operation of blower and allows for the addition of air conditioning. Housing constructed of steel and finished with a baked epoxy (powder paint) finish. Transformer is of a heavy-duty 24 V type. Supply wiring block enables copper conductors. Motor operates at low setting to help stabilize room temperature. Thermostat on light facilitates locating malfunctions. Approximately half of the elements are disconnected during the milder fall and spring months so entire furnace is not energized (when using season select switch). Motor runs continuously on low for constant air circulation during warm weather months (when turning on the continuous ventilation switch).
